MarvinSketch 5.1.01 with FireFox 3.0.1 on Mac OSX and Linux

Has anyone had problems loading molecules as strings and smiles using


FireFox 3 on Mac OSX 10.5.4 into MarvinSketch?





On the Mac the applet loads without any content. One Linux Centos


2.6.25 FireFox 3 simply hangs the browser.





I apologize if this has already been discussed in this forum.

We have tested MarvinSketch applet both on Mac OS X and on Linux platform.


The applet works fine in both cases.


The testing environment:


- Mac OS X 10.5.2, Java 1.5.0_13, Safari 3.1.1


- Ubuntu Linux 8.04.1, Java 1.6.0_06, Firefox 3.0.1


I recommend to check the following example on your machine. This works fine for us.

Do you use the same Java version on OS X than me?


Are you sure that you use a Sun distributed Java version under Linux?
