Hello,

I've try to use the new version of Marvin beans (5.0.2.1) to replace my old version 4.

I just add Marvin beans in netbeans palette as usual and when i try to add a new MSketchPane in the graphical editor, i get the following error message :

" The component cannot be instantiated. Please make sure it is a JavaBeans Component."

The MViewPane is working fine.

This was working fine in the old version. Any idea why it's not working anymore ?

Thanks,

Yann

Are you sure that all required jars are beside MarvinBeans.jar?

A few of new jars are introduced in Marvin 5.0. A couple of them is required to initialize MarvinSketch (e.g.: aloe.jar).

Ok thanks it's working now.

But it's so slow... the last version were slow, this one is slower...

Please do something for next version, it takes more than 5 minutes on my computer to add a MarvinSketch Bean in netbeans :)

(Ok, perhaps i can improve netbeans configuration, but anyway, it too slow)

Anyway Thanks for your help.

We know about that MarvinSketch 5.0 starts slower than 4.1.x.

We are working on to get it faster.

You can read more about it in the linking topic.

I recommend to try it out Marvin 5.2. It is significantly faster than 5.0.

If your Java Plugin version is 1.6.0_10 or later, applet resources are downloaded in Pack200 compressed format that also reduces the loading time.
