MarvinSketch 5.0 hangs/crashes saving enumerated table

Using Marvin 5.0.0 on a Mac G4 with system 10.4.11

When I generate a table of enumerated structures using the Markush plugin, the table window has a "File" -> "Save as" option. If I select this to try to save the whole table (not a large one ~20-100 entries) the program hangs and little or no data is saved to disk.

If what is saved is opened with MarvinViewm I get a couple structures and then an erorr as shown int he attached screen cap (unexpected end of file).

There is no visible error message, but I have to force Marvin Sketch to quite - it becomes mostly unresponsive. It will till let me select "Quit" from the top menu, but it does not quit.

This also seems to happen when trying to save a range of structures from this table - i.e. if no one is selected, and I choose "Save selected" a dialog comes up and asks to list a range, e.g. 80-100

opening the save Markush drawing in MarvinView, I can generate the same ennumerated table, and the save-as operation seems hang as well.

Please send me the output of saving in private to check it. Probably, you have already received my email about your other topic ("MarvinSketch 5.0 repeated file corruption").

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the mrv file.

Indeed, this file is wrong. Missing the close cml tag ( </cml> ) from the end of the file. That's why MarvinView throws exception when you try to load it.

Indeed, the save process hangs, it can explain why missing the footer of the file.

We will fix it ASAP.

Until then, I recommend the following workaround.

Before you call the save command in the view table, scroll down (till the end of the table). In this case, the whole table will be saved.

thanks for the update and suggested work-around

note - it seems like I need to display the entire table at one time (set rows and columns to high numbers in table -> options). Just scrolling though I still only get a few saved.
