Hi
On our Intranet site, we are using MarvinSketch.
One of our users has reported that when she draws a molecule containing a SMARTS (H count, in this case), Internet Explorer hangs when she clicks the submit button on my web form, and it has to be killed using the task manager.
I have reproduced this - it occurs randomly, about 1 out of 10 times. I can see in the web server log that the POST has been processed, which indicates to me that all my client side code has executed.
Normally, when it works, there is a GET to the "results of search" page, but when the client hangs, no GET is logged.
I was wondering if you have ever seen Marvin do this - maybe it is something to do with the applet being destroyed.
On the client, this is the result of pressing Help About in the applet
MarvinSketch/Swing 3.3.2
JVM: Sun Microsystems Inc. Java 1.4.2_02
Browser: sun.plugin 1.1
OS: x86 Windows XP 5.1
If you need any more information, please let me know.
Thanks
Mark
