When a CH2 group is turned into a monovalent radical in Marvin 3.4.3, the C atom now correctly appears as CH• in the MarvinSketch or MarvinView window instead of just C•. However, when we make a JPEG picture from this molecule, it still appears as C•. (See picture.) The same is true of CH+.

I have not managed to create a same image than yours with Marvin 3.4.3. There was a similar bug in Marvin 3.3.3 but we have already fixed it.
Have you modified the default image export options?
If you set "H_off" option, all implicit hydrogens will be invisible.
How did you create this image? Can you give more info about your software environment (operating system, Java version)?

The problem appears in EPOCH. I checked a free-standing MarvinSketch 3.4.3, and you're right, the H appears when an image is created directly from the File menu, so a setting in EPOCH must be wrong. Thanks for the input.
