Aromatization is much better on the new version of marvin (4.1.0) but I still have trouble with structure containing 'c1ccc2nccc2c1' (which never gets dearomatized when using molconverter)

Hi,
Some bugs was fixed recently in the dearomatization module.
Dearomatization problem with the 'c1ccc2nccc2c1' structure was fixed.

Dear Jozci,
I use the latest Marvin. Are these correction already released or will they be released in the next version ?
(in the meantime, I could use the standardizer to fix my structures)

Hi,
Dearomatization module of the latest Marvin release already includes improvements for correcting of missing hydrogen(s). e.g. dearomatization of 'c1cncn1' can be done now with the latest Marvin release.
Unfortunately a bug remained in the dearomatization code. You faced with this bug when dearomatization is failed to work for benzo-pyrol like rings.
Meantime this bug was fixed.
Our colleague Tamas is on holiday. He is responsible for organizing new release or even bug fix release.
We will do bug fix release, therefore, at the next week.
