Hi:
I drew a rgmolecule with several Rgroups defined. I would like to copy and paste R1 and paste it as R2 with minimal modification, but it seems that paste function was not allowed.
IS there any way to enable this function in MarvinSketch?
Thanks a lot

Copying rgroups is working for me in the latest Marvin release (4.0.6).
Long time ago, there were an rgroup copy bug but it has been already fixed.
Probably, you use an old Marvin version. Try the latest one.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I used marvin 4.0.6 version by checking about JVM.
MarvinSketch/Swing 4.0.6
JVM: Sun Microsystems Inc. Java 1.4.2_06
OS: x86 Windows XP 5.1
Maybe I did not phrase my question well. Suppose you defined a rgmolecule with core and R1. R1 is defined to include F, Cl, Br. Now I selected all three atoms and click copy, and then click paste in the same panel. I can see these three groups when I move mouse around, but paste has no effect. they can not be added into panel.

OK, the problem is already clear for me. R-group definition is not pastable to the same R-group.
In Marvin 4.1, this problem will have been solved. R-group defintion will be pastable. When you copy and paste an r-group definition to the same sketch canvas, the pasted compounds will be appended to current r-group definition (which has got the same ID than the pasted one).
Although, Marvin 4.1 is not ready yet but you can try out this feature in the latest pre-release of Marvin 4.1:

It looks very nice. Do you have timeline when 4.1 will be released?
Thanks
