Hi Tomas,

Thanks for that, I have tracked the problem down, it is a firewall issue, blocking traffic. The examples load as expected, but when accessed through the firewall, a java error is generated. I have been in touch with our IT support about this, and they are looking into it.

Thanks for the help,

richard H.

Have you tried to launch Marvin examples from the ChemAxon sites?

Are they working on your machine? If yes, a few resources for Marvin may be missing from your server. In these cases check the content of your Marvin directory:

If examples from ChemAxon site are not working on your Win XP machine, the problem may be on the client side.

Which cerfificate file have you copied to the Win XP machine?

Applet downloads automatically every resources from the server, it does not require extra files. Only an installed JRE and a browser are required to be able to launch an applet.

Try remove the copied extra files from the machine. Probably, these files cause the problem.

When the browser starts downloading Marvin's jar files, a certification window should be poped up.

You have to submit it to let the browser to download any trusted jar files from ChemAxon (in the future). If you deny the permission, Marvin applet may not run properly.
