I had to re-install MarvinBeans on a computer where the installation already was functional. I removed the installation with MarvinBeans proper function and was running marvinbeans-4_0_5-windows_with_jre.exe. Installation went OK, Sketcher and Viewer fully functional. When I tried to run molconverter from command prompt window I received message: "java is not executable name or command". With marvinbeans-4_1_0alpha13-windows_with_jre.exe I got exactly the same experience. Did I harm somehow the java files during uninstalling the former version ? Operation system in use is Window XP.

Thanks for the bug report. The 4.0.5 version of Marvin Beans installer (with bundled JRE) misses to configure batch files.


I have created a patch package for this release to repair these batch files.


Please download marvinbeans-4_0_5patch-windows.zip to your machine, unwrap it and copy "config.bat" and "config.vbs" files into the "bin" subdirectory of your Marvin Beans package. (Its default location is "C:\Program Files\ChemAxon\MarvinBeans\bin".)


Sorry for the inconvenience. In the next release this bug will be fixed.
