In MarvinSketch 6.3.1, even on your demo version here, the dative bond is the default bond. Place an atom on the canvas, then create a bond by click-holding on the atom, dragging, and releasing. To get a regular bond, one must click on the regular bond button first. It's extremely annoying.
In your version 14.7.14.0 demo here, the problem has been fixed. However, I don't see this problem acknowledged as fixed in the history of changes for version 14.7.14.0. Apparently there was a version 14.7.7.0, but it is not listed in your history of changes. Can you tell me if this annoyance has been consciously fixed as of 14.7.14.0?
