Basically I've been using MarvinSketch to create SVG files for Wikipedia and I would sure like it if the chemical structures I create using MarvinSketch are automatically cropped when I create them instead of having to go through all the bother of cropping them with a third party software like Scribus.

Dear Fusion,
Could you tell me more about this? I do not understand what do you mean by croping the image. Could it solve your problem to change it to be transparent?

By cropping I mean ridding images of empty space (beyond that expected due to the mere fact that images are rectangular in shape) when exporting to SVG. For instance, I attached an image of chlorpromazine that's got heaps of empty space in it. I already export them transparently, like in the SVG I attached.

Hi,
Currently there is no "crop" in the classical sense in Marvin. What you can try - and I belive it should work in your case- , to select your structure then choose "copy as png" from the Edit menu.

The only options available are "copy" and "copy as".

If you click on "copy as", you could see a list which contains png, jpg, emf, and bmp picture format (and several other molecule file formats) .

Hi, I don't know why do you say it is not cropped?
1. Edit>Select All
2. Edit>Copy As
3. Select "PNG Image" from the 'Copy Special' popup
4. Click "OK"
5. Open Irfanview
6. Paste
The result is:
I attach the file, too.

I do not attach, your file is cropped, too! Please open it in browser:
