Hello,

I notice a bug with Marvin Sketch/JChem4Excel with a dual monitor extended desktop setup. If this topic is more relevant to the JChem4Excel forum, please move it there.

You can reproduce by performing the following:

  1. Open Excel

  2. put benzene into cell A1

  3. Double-click the structure to open Marvin Sketch editor

  4. If the marvin sketch window is on the main monitor, move the Marvin Sketch window to the secondary monitor

  5. Click any menu in the menubar

  6. Notice that the menu is drawn on the main monitor, not the secondary monitor

I only observe this behavior when I edit molecules within Excel; I do not see the same behavior in standalone marvinsketch or when editing structures thorugh Outlook OLE etc. The same bug is observed if I use JChem for Excel's" EditorPane"

System details:

Win7, Excel 2010, JChem4Excel 6.2.2

Hi Joshua,

Unfortunately, this is a known issue, please use Marvin Sketch with JChem for Excel on primary monitor.

Bests,

Anna
