On some environments we get the problems with Marvin OLE.

Structures are invisible and as soon as we doubleclick on the frame where the structures should be visible we get the message "The program used to create this object is MarvinOLE. That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding. To edit this object, install MarvinOLE or ensure that any dialog boxes in MarvinOLE are closed"

Hi Edith,

can you please give me more information about the environment where OLe is failing?

We are aware of an issue with Marvin OLE in Java 7 environment, which we were not able to fix yet, it is a deep synchronization issue between the java part and the COM part, that is hard to fix, but we would like to fix that very soon, possibly in 6.2. Can you confirm that the problematic machines have Java 7 installed, and Marvin was installed on them without the bundled jre?

With the .Net version of MarvinOLE this problem does not occur, and it also works fine with Java 6, so if you install Marvin with bundled jre, then it is also should work well.

You can change to .Net OLE if you wish, here is a documentation on how to do that.

I hope this helps,
Istvan
