This is the second part of the presentation of the chemicalInventory application. In part 1 inventory functionalities was introduced, this thread looks at more LIMS like functionalities like sample creation, result entry, batch management e.g.





The chemicalInventory application has a sample module, to let scientists e.g. store research and analytical data, create reports, create batches of compound, and search in the results in the database… Again the Marvin Applets and JChem base is applied to make the search feature more powerful.





Here a short list of some of the functionalities of the sample module:





- Sample Creation and modification


- Result Entry


- Analysis Creation and modification tool


- Report option for PDF overview.


- Batch module, to allow a simple way to organize created batches of compound and samples


- Search facility to search in stored research data.


- Web based to allow cross-organisational data access.


- History tracking to essential information.
