Hi
I had JChem_For_Excel_6.2.2.1098.x86 installed ok on my machine (64 bit windows 8.1 with 32 bit office). I then had a number of problems with the computer and have done a fresh install of the operating system, leaving nothing behind. Everything went well and programmes reinstalled as expected (including IJC and Marvin) and licenses were OK.
However, the one programme that didn't instal was JChem_For_Excel_6.2.2.1098.x86 and I keep getting an error message '
error 1001 installutillib.dll '
I've tried rebooting etc and running the DISM utility didn't find any issue. No joy after 6 attempts to install.
Any thoughts ?
Thanks

Hello,
One usual problem in our installation process on Windows 8 is that our installer needs .NET framework 3.5 installed on the target machine. You can simply turn it on using "Turning Windows features on or off" in the Control Panel.
Could you check if it solves the problem, please?
Thank you,

Hi
Thanks for this. I'd tried loading 3.5 but had a message saying it was part of operating system. I hadn't appreciated that it needed to be turned on. All installed fine after turning on 3.5.
Thanks again
