Using JChem Linked Structure Field with ChemDraw data

How do you set up a JChem Linked Structure Field with ChemDraw fields?

What should the column format be?  (Single line text, multi line text, some kind of binary?)

Can it be linked to a cdxml format?

Hi Jon,

You get validation error because you try to add a
JChem Linked Structure Field in relation with a JChem Structure
Field. This functionality is allowed but we do not allow users to
have the option "Allow molecule editing" for the linked structure
field because then it would be an inconsistency from usability
point of view. If we would allow enable edit you would have 2
editors in the page "connected" to the same field value. So on
server side we cannot decide which of the editors contains the
structure which user wants to save. Of course we could eventually
make a mechanism on client side to automatically change the
structure to be always the same in both editors but I really can't
see any use case when a user would want to have 2 editors at the
same time for the same field value.

Related to CDXML, currently our ChemAxon JChem API does not fully supports CDXML. It can only read the molecules in CDXML format but it can't write (export) them in CDXML...
