Hello,

Java 6 won't be publicly available for download after Feb/2013 - see this link. We would like to switch to Java 7 completely at some stage in the future. It means that once we start to use Java 7 language features, IJC won't run on Java 6 anymore.

Of course we want to keep compatibility as long as you need it, but we think it's better to switch to Java version which is supported.

I'd like to hear from you when this is possible for your companies? Are you still using Java 6 as your main version? If so, when do you plan to migrate to Java 7?

Feel free to contact me via email. I'll write a result of this survey back to this forum once I get responses.

Thank you for your answers,

Petr

Hi Petr,

I have talked to the colleagues that make decisions on these things - it looks like we won't get Java7 before next year - as we have some older applications we need to keep supporting.

Cheers

Thanks, Anna,

this is something what we expected a little after some internal discussions with other ChemAxon teams. We wanted to have it confirmed from customers.

thank you,

Petr
