Can the Name to Structure feature be disabled?

Hi,

I am looking to disable the name to structure transformation that happens when a chemical name is pasted into the sketchpad. Is this possible?

Thanks, so involving the clipboard operation you are about to paste the structure into the Sketcher and you would like to switch off the naming autorecognition?

Hi Chris,

currently it is not possible to disable a particular format for pasting. The paste mechanism uses the autorecognition system, and imports the structure if it can be imported.

We can create a configuration option for this, but currently we can schedule it for 5.7 the earliest. How urgent, and crucial is this for you? The only workaround solution i can currently offer is to disable the whole paste functionality thru customization, if that is suitable for you, until the configuration can be expanded with this option.

I really appreciate your response. I will check with others here at WebAssign to see if disabling the Paste logic will suffice. My first thought would be to go this route but I will let you know as soon as I here back.
