Hi,
Our IT department plans to update client machine's Java Runtime environment to 1.7.
Do you know of any limitation, compatibility issues with Marvinview? We currently use Marvinview 5.3.7.

Hi Gábor,
currently we did not run deep testing with java 1.7, but according to our current rough tests, it is usable, and we do not aware any new issues on our example pages.
There is one thing, that not directly affects the applets, the embedded OLE documents inside Microsoft Office apps can not run with Java 1.7 due to some dll incompatibility. We are investigating this problem currently.

I always get error on startup when open Marvin Space when I used JRE 7 (the latest one)? But when I downgrade the JRE, Marvin Space successful open?
Is it the same thing happen with you all guys?

Hi,
I did some quick test with MarvinSpace on JRE 1.7. There are some breaking changes of the new Java API, but I managed to adapt our code.
Though, I can say the same: there weren't any deep tests with JRE1.7
I commit these modifications, and the next release can be used in an experimental manner.
