I use JChem/Marvin for the Mac. Currently, the Mac OS includes its own implementation of Java. However, the next version of the Mac OS will not include Java. Will ChemAxon include Java for future versions of its software for the Mac?

Although there was an announcement by Apple at 21st October 2010 that Java would have been removed from the next OS X version (Lion).

But after that there was a newer announcement  at 12th November 2010 by Apple and Oracle where they declared that Java is going to be provided for future OS X versions too:

Oracle and Apple Announce OpenJDK Project for Mac OS X

Apple also confirmed that Java SE 6 will continue to be available from Apple for Mac OS X Snow Leopard® and the upcoming release of Mac OS X Lion. Java SE 7 and future versions of Java for Mac OS X will be available from Oracle

Since Java is also provided for further OS X versions we do not plan to boundle any JRE with the Mac installers of Marvin/JChem.
