Reaction operator (+ sign) on the toobar

Hello,
I have looked through the Marvin JS documentation to find the way to display on the toolbar a button for explicit insertion of a reaction operator (+ sign), as the one displayed here: http://www.chemaxon.com/wp-content/themes/chemaxon/images/product_pages/marvinjs/5.jpg or in the video posted on the main page describing Marvin JS, but unfortunately I found nothing. As far as I can see from the example page, there is no toolbar preset including this button. I believe that the methods suggested to insert reaction operator(s) described here: https://docs.chemaxon.com/display/marvinjs/Reactions are not particularly convenient for those users having no in-depth experience with Marvin JS features (in my case - all prospective users coming from the web) . Please advise is there any way to display this button on the toolbar.
Thank you!

Dear mikky,

We have made some changes since the 6.3 version of Marvin JS.

(History of changes: https://docs.chemaxon.com/display/products/History+of+Changes+-+Marvin+JS)

One of our improvements was, that we eliminated the Reaction operator (+) button, and its function was merged with other functions to create the "smart" Reaction tool.

In my opinion in some cases the description of a tool can be more complicated than it is in reality, so please watch this short video about this tool:

https://www.chemaxon.com/releases/marvin-js-14-7-21/

We believe that the new Reaction tool makes the reaction drawing easier, however we are aware of the fact that finding all of its features  can be difficult for the users who aren't experienced in Marvin JS (as you mentioned).

We have some plans to make these possibilities clear for all users, for example with changing the arrow icon to a more expressive picture.

What do you think, could this solution work for you?

Dear Eszter,

thank you for clear reply. Apparently, I will have to deploy Marvin JS as it is now, as I think that downgrade to prior version is a step back for us. The video which you shared is comprehensive and illustrative, but unfortunately it is not really convenient to show it next to the input form on our web-page to serve as a quick guide for all users. As a temporary solution we may reference your link in some short informational message if you have no objections about it.

If you could return this Reaction operator button in a future release while keeping all currently existing reaction drawing features then all "regular" users would benefit from such decision, I guess. If the interface is not intuitively clear for a user, he will have hard times using it and may refuse to use it at all, even if the interface is otherwise handy and elaborate. I am sure you are well aware of that.

With best regards,
Dmytro

Hi Dmytro,

We are considering your request, however it takes time to fulfil it.
